The Candyman series uses the specific color of Chicago's Cabrini-Green housing projects: grey concrete, rust and decay, the golden light of the legend itself. The mirror that summons the Candyman reflects a distorted version of whatever world it faces. Jordan Peele's 2021 continuation maintained this palette while pushing it toward a more contemporary visual sophistication, understanding that the horror is inseparable from the environment that produced it.
