The Twilight series has a color identity as specific as any film franchise. The deep blue-green of the Pacific Northwest, perpetually overcast and drizzled upon. Catherine Hardwicke established this palette in the first film, understanding that the vampire mythology required a world that felt cold, beautiful, and removed from ordinary American life. Subsequent films maintained this cool desaturation as the emotional signature of immortal longing.
